Nketiah’s contract with the Gunners expires in the summer and he has been put on the list of out of contract players by the club.

The Gunners did confirm though that they have offered the striker a new contract and talks are ongoing with him.

Crystal Palace had multiple bids rejected for the striker in January but they are still linked with him in the current window.

The striker himself though is willing to stay on with the Gunners and there is a general understanding between Nketiah and manager Mikel Arteta.

Nketiah has been able to speak with clubs for the last six months but despite interest, the Gunners are relaxed about the situation as they expect him to stay.

The striker started the Gunners’ last eight Premier League games in the previous season and netted five goals in that run.

While the Gunners are looking to extend Nketiah’s stay, they are also in the market for another striker, with Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus of interest.
