Elis spent last season on loan at Bordeaux and the French club announced this week that they have taken up the option to sign him on a permanent deal for €6m.

 

The Honduran had an injury-riddled spell at Bordeaux the last term but still managed to score nine times in 20 Ligue 1 appearances.

 

 

Following relegation from Ligue 1, the French club are ready to cash in on Elis and sell him for a profit this summer.

 

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Bordeaux are hoping to get a fee in the region of €14m from his departure this summer.

 

 

A move to England has been mooted where Leeds are believed to be interested in signing him as they look to bring in a striker.

 

The Whites are in the market for a striker and Elis is one of the players the club have been tracking.
