Raskin’s future at Standard Liege is under the scanner as he has attracted transfer interest from several clubs both from Belgium and abroad.

Leeds, who were linked with interest in the midfielder in January, are still keen on him as they continue bolstering their squad this summer having narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League last term.

However, amidst Raskin attracting interest from elsewhere, new Standard Liege boss Deila has made it clear he wants the midfielder to remain at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne beyond the ongoing transfer window.

Former Celtic manager Deila hailed Raskin as a good player and revealed he hopes he can see him reach new career milestones under his tutelage.

Asked about Raskin’s future Deila said at a press conference: “He’s a very good player.

“Of course, we want him to stay.

“It’s a bit tricky to talk about that because I’ve only seen the players once, but we will work with the club so that he understands that it is good for his future that he stays at Standard Liege.

“In the past, I have helped a lot of players to reach milestones in their careers and I hope to be able to do the same with him.”

While Leeds remain interested in Raskin, they are closing in on a deal for another midfielder in the shape of Marc Roca from Bayern Munich.
