The Magpies have made it a priority to bolster their attack with a new striker this summer and their top target is Reims starlet Hugo Ekitike.

 

Newcastle have agreed to a move with the Ligue 1 side for the hitman, but they are yet to get a deal over the line with interest from Borussia Dortmund holding up the transfer.

 

 

The Magpies are claimed to have found an alternative option to Ekitike in Sassuolo marksman Gianluca Scamacca.

 

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Newcastle are now identified Inter star Correa as another potential striker target.

 

 

The Nerazzurri are looking to cash in on Correa this summer and are on the lookout for potential suitors.

 

Ligue 1 giants Marseille were credited with interest in the Argentine, but he is not a target for them, while Newcastle have emerged as his admirers.

 

 

The Tyneside giants have been struggling to seal deals for their top targets this summer, such as Ekitike and Sven Botman, but now have the Inter star on their radar.

 

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will pounce on Correa in the coming weeks as they continue negotiations for Ekitike.
