Aston Villa’s Luiz has emerged as one of the top targets for Roma, who are considering taking him to Italy.
The Midlands club want around €30m to €35m from his sale but according to Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are convinced that they can negotiate the price down.
The 24-year-old midfielder has a year left on his contract and has so far refused to sign a new deal to commit his future to Villa.
With his contract running down, Roma are certain that Aston Villa would be open to accepting a lower offer.

Roma also do not see any issues with agreeing on personal terms with Luiz due to Italy’s favourable tax laws.
