Rahman signed for the Blues in the summer of 2015 but after an initial season at Stamford Bridge, he has spent most of the rest of his spell away from London.

He has not made an appearance for the Blues since his maiden season and has gone on loan for every campaign since.

Last season was spent with Championship side Reading on loan but now the Blues are finally ready to pull the cord.

The Blues are not looking to loan Rahman out anymore and want to sell him this summer to finally end the association of more than half-a-decade.

Chelsea are prepared to listen to offers for the left-back, who has a contract with the Blues until the summer of 2024.

French club Rennes are interested in him and he has also been linked with Middlesbrough and Reading, for whom he made 29 appearances last season.

The left-back is weighing up his future and wants to ensure that whichever club he ends up at provides him the opportunity to be in the best shape for the World Cup in winter.
