Spurs are on the verge of signing the French centre-back on loan for a season from the Catalan giants.
Barcelona would have preferred to sell him but Tottenham managed to convince them to agree to a loan deal this summer and the switch is poised to proceed.
Lenglet has already given his nod to Spurs and is expected to complete the loan move to the north London club this summer.
And according to Catalan journalist Gerard Romero, Tottenham are only paying just above €7m in terms of wages to Lenglet, which is less than he earns at Barcelona.
The two clubs have agreed to share the defender’s wages, with Barcelona making a contribution.
Lenglet will now look to his the ground running at Tottenham, where Antonio Conte has promised him he will be a key player and turn out on a regular basis.
Regular game time is important for Lenglet as he has an eye on the World Cup in Qatar this winter.
