With Kalvin Phillips confirmed as a Manchester City player, Leeds are now on course to bring in his replacement in the coming days.

Jesse Marsch has been an admirer of Adams since they worked together at RB Leipzig and is pushing ahead to bring him to Leeds this summer.

An agreement is now in place between Leeds and Leipzig, with the two clubs working out the deal on Monday afternoon.

And it has been claimed that a medical has already been scheduled for Adams by the Yorkshire giants.

The United States international is expected to be put through his medical paces this week ahead of his transfer to Elland Road.

Leeds have agreed to fork out a fee of €20m, including add-ons, to Leipzig with the payment set to be made over instalments.

The Whites have moved quickly to make sure that they have a replacement in place once Phillips joined Manchester City.
