The 22-year-old attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, where he scored 12 times and registered ten assists in all competitions.

He has two years left on his Wolves contract and has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux with Everton and Nottingham Forest chasing him.

Everton have been told that they will have to increase their £25m valuation of the player but the Toffees are yet to table a concrete bid.

But it has been claimed that Nottingham Forest are not going anywhere and are prepared to go toe-to-toe with Everton for Gibbs-White.

They hugely admire the player and are even prepared to break their transfer record to get their hands on him.

Forest are also banking on Steve Cooper’s relationship with the player and there are suggestions that Gibbs-White wants to play for his former Swansea and England Under-17s boss.

However, Wolves remain reluctant to sell him with Bruno Lage a big admirer of the player.

But Gibbs-White has shown no temptation to sign a new deal and with two years left, this summer could be the best time for Wolves to get the fee they want from his sale.
