Broja is expected to leave Chelsea this summer after a fruitful loan spell at Southampton as he wants to play regular football in the upcoming campaign.

Several clubs in the Premier League are interested in snapping him up, with Eddie Howe looking at taking him to Newcastle to add to his attacking options on Tyneside.

While Broja is now on his way back from Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States, it is not likely to be Newcastle that he will join.

It is suggested that David Moyes’ West Ham are the firm favourites to complete the capture of Broja.

The striker is tipped to be set to complete a season-long loan move to West Ham.

West Ham are pushing to get the deal done and also understand Chelsea’s unwillingness to sell the forward on a permanent deal.

They are prepared to sign him on an initial loan and could discuss a permanent transfer next year.

Broja wants regular minutes next season and is open to a move to West Ham, who have been in the market for a striker since January last year.

The development also takes a further striker target off the table for Newcastle.
