De Ketelaere is Leeds’ top attacking target and the Whites are prepared to match Club Brugge’s €36m asking price as well as meet the Belgian’s wage demands.

But the 21-year-old has made it clear that moving to AC Milan is his priority and he is expected to join the Rossoneri if they match Club Brugge’s asking price.

However, AC Milan have failed with two bids for the player and are expected to table another offer to secure the deal.

An agreement is still not in place and according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, they have now set a deadline.

The Rossoneri want De Ketelaere but they do not want to wait forever to work out a deal with Club Brugge.

The Serie A giants are prepared to pursue other targets if they do not have a deal in place for the Belgian by the end of the week.

Leeds are yet to pull the plug on the pursuit of the attacker despite his willingness to join AC Milan.

They could get an opening if AC Milan fail to sign the player before the end of the current week.
