The Hoops have been looking to offload Jullien throughout the ongoing window and were close to seeing him join Bundesliga side Schalke in June
Jullien even flew to Germany to undergo his medical, but disagreements arose between Celtic, the player and Schalke which ultimately saw the deal fell through.
While Jullien’s future at Parkhead remained in limbo, Ligue 1 club Montpellier emerged as his potential suitors.
The French reached an agreement with Hoops over a season-long loan move for the defender and he was put through his medical paces earlier today.
And according to Goal France, Jullien has now passed his Montpellier medical without any issues.
The centre-back is one step closer to leaving Celtic having only made a single appearance for them last season, that too from the bench.
Jullien is in the last year of his contract at Celtic and his loan exit this summer likely means that his Hoops career has also come to an end.
