The Tricky Trees have been extraordinarily active in the summer market and the number of new signings at the City Ground is approaching 20.

Even as the window heads towards the closing stages, they are not sitting quietly and Switzerland international midfielder Sow is one of the targets they are pursuing.

Sow played a vital part in helping Eintracht Frankfurt lift the Europa League last season and he has caught the attention of Forest this summer.

The Tricky Trees have now submitted an offer of an initial €20m for Sow to Eintracht Frankfurt, according to Swiss daily Blick.

Nottingham Forest’s offer also includes €5m in bonuses and a four-year contract for the 25-year-old..

Sow missed just three games for the Bundesliga outfit last season in the league, while he started all but one match in the Europa League.

Nottingham Forest have made a number of singings in the midfield this summer, including the likes of Lewis O’Brien, Remo Freuler and Morgan Gibbs-White, but they still want to add to their ranks in the middle of the park.
