The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Strasbourg and made 33 appearances in Ligue 1 for the French club.
He has been back at Aston Villa since the start of the summer, but is not part of Steven Gerrard’s plans and has been training with the Under-23 squad.
The Frenchman has a year left on his contract and Aston Villa are desperate to move him on before the window slams shut on 1st September.
But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Guilbert is finding it hard to find any takers for him at a late stage of the window.
With only a week left in the transfer window, no club are yet to show any concrete interest in the player.
The right-back is keen to find the exit door before the window closes but for the moment the options are few and far between.
His representatives have been trying to shop him around but for the moment the player has no concrete offers on his table.
