The 26-year-old attacking midfielder joined Belgium outfit Royal Antwerp on a permanent basis in the summer of 2020.
Last season, a ligament injury saw Miyoshi’s campaign come to an early end and it limited him to only 15 appearances for Royal Antwerp.
Miyoshi’s contract with the Belgian outfit is set to expire at the end of June, and the player will leave the club as a free agent.
Birmingham City are interested in taking the midfielder St. Andrews this season as they are looking to reshape their midfield.
And it has been claimed that Blues’ hierarchy believe that Miyoshi will be able to add the necessary creativity and guile in midfield for them.
Miyoshi has several experiences of playing in European competition under his belt and represented Japan in the 2019 Copa America.
And if everything goes well, then the attacking midfielder will be the second signing for Eustace’s side after Tyler Roberts.
