Kristensen is set to leave Leeds this summer after the Whites were relegated from the Premier League last season.

The 25-year-old right-back appears to be less than enthused about the idea of dropping into the Championship and he is set for an Italian escape route.

Roma have been working on a deal to sign the defender on loan for a season from the Yorkshire giants.

According to Italian daily La Repubblica (via LaRoma24.it), the Serie A giants have already worked out an agreement with the player.

Kristensen has given his approval to the proposed move and has already agreed on a contract with Roma.

The Giallorossi are pushing ahead with their pursuit of the defender and are hoping to work out a deal with Leeds this week.

The Whites are ready to let the player go as they look to overhaul the squad ahead of playing in the Championship next season.
