Spurs have a deal in place to sign the England midfielder from Leicester City in the ongoing transfer window.

The north London club have agreed to pay a fee of £40m plus add-ons based on his appearances and achievements at Tottenham.

Personal terms are already in place between Spurs and Maddison and he will undergo a medical ahead of the transfer.

Norwich are also set to profit from the midfielder’s imminent sale as they are due a percentage of the profits.

The Canaries will receive 15 per cent of the profit Leicester will be making from the sale of the midfielder.

Leicester paid £25m to Norwich in 2018 when they signed him and the Championship club are set to be due around £2.25m once Maddison completes the move to Spurs.

Tottenham completed a deal to sign Guglielmo Vicario earlier this week and are on the verge of securing the signature of the Leicester midfielder.
