John Eustace’s men have already been busy in the ongoing transfer market amid their plans to realign their squad this summer.

They have wrapped up deals for Roberts and Koji Miyoshi in a bid to keep a stabilised attack ready for the forthcoming season.

But their focus remains on fortifying their defensive ranks this summer in hopes of not clocking up another lacklustre goal-difference record.

Birmingham have already offloaded defenders George Friend, Harlee Dean and Maxime Colin, and are all set to bring back Bielik to St. Andrew’s.

Blues are said to be bearing budgetary constraints this summer and their transfer policy is taking into account the fact.

And it is claimed that Roberts and Bielik together could cost Eustace’s side less than £1m initially as it is still unclear how much fee will be added to their deals further.

Birmingham are also in talks with Wolves for Dion Sanderson, who, like Bielik, plied his trade at St. Andrews last season on loan.

It remains to be seen now how much Blues will need to pay for Roberts and Bielik in the latter stages given that they are working on a restricted budget.
