The Magpies have already signed Sandro Tonali for big money from AC Milan this summer and are now looking at more solutions.

Newcastle are looking at options to strengthen their first team but the club are also considering bolstering their academy with new signings.

And it has been claimed that Newcastle are now looking at signing Inter’s 18-year-old winger Zefi.

The teenage Irish winger was convinced to leave Shamrock Rovers to move to Italy and joined Inter’s youth academy.

The 18-year-old performances for Inter’s youth team have piqued the interest of the Premier League outfit.

Newcastle have held discussions over taking Zefi to the north east of England in the ongoing transfer window.

Zefi, who is in the final year of his contract at Inter, scored 16 goals in 23 appearances in the youth ranks last season.

The Magpies are pushing to get a deal over the line and sign the Ireland Under-19 international this summer.
