The defender has been keen to move on from Leeds since they got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.

Bayer Leverkusen were interested in him but the defender had his mind made up about a move to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

The Bundesliga club have an agreement in place with Leeds to sign him on loan for the 2023/24 season.

And the defender is being put through his paces during a medical by Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of his proposed move.

Koch will sign a one-year loan contract with the German club once he successfully passes the medical.

Leeds are set to receive a loan fee from the centre-back’s departure and have been preparing for life without him.

New Whites boss Daniel Farke will look to strengthen central defence as part of his plans to overhaul the squad.
