The 29-year-old centre forward joined Ipswich on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
During his first season, Pigott failed to impress at the Tractor Boys and last season he went out on a season-long loan to Portsmouth.
Pigott featured a total of 44 times for Portsmouth last season, scoring eight goals and delivering three assists.
The centre forward returned to Ipswich after his loan spell expired, and he is currently down the pecking order under Kieran McKenna.
Portsmouth showed interest in Pigott initially, but after adding Kusini Yengi and Christian Saydee to their forward line up they are focusing on other positions.
Pigott has one year left on his Ipswich contract and it has been claimed that the Tractor Boys are ready to let the 29-year-old go on a free transfer.
Now it remains to be seen whether the prospect of signing Pigott on a free transfer will entice John Mousinho’s side to make a move for the forward in the coming days.
