The Goodison Park outfit started the new Premier League season with two defeats and are expected to do some business before the transfer window shuts down.
They conceded five goals in the opening two matches and failed to score any in return.
Everton could only manage to avoid relegation on the last day of the previous Premier League campaign and Sean Dyche will look to avoid that struggle this season.
Dyche is looking to add more firepower to his arsenal and he is looking to bring in goals to his team.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin suffered a facial injury against Aston Villa on Sunday and new boy Youssef Chermiti is still only 19 with no Premier League experience.
Now Everton are working to sign Udinese’s 25-year-old Beto, who made 12 goal contributions last term in 34 appearances.
He is a player they have held an interest in for some time.
However, Everton will not be able to complete a deal to sign him this week.
It remains to be seen if Everton can capture Beto and when any agreement is pushed over the line.
