The 22-year-old Spaniard joined Tottenham from Sevilla in the summer of 2021 but has failed to establish himself in the starting line-up.
Gil went out on loan to Sevilla in the second half of the season, where he made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side.
Early in the transfer window, the young winger attracted interest from several Italian outfits, but Spurs refused to let him go out again.
With the arrival of new summer signing Manor Soloman, Gil is further down the pecking order.
And it has been claimed a move to Spain on the deadline is possible if Tottenham agree to let him go.
His performances last term with Sevilla have attracted interest and Gil has admirers in Spain.
Gil has yet to make any appearances for Ange Postecoglou’s side this season and is currently nursing himself back from injury.
