Maxwel Cornet is likely to stay at West Ham United for the rest of the campaign despite his lack of game time this season, according to The Athletic.

The 27-year-old winger has been a bit part player at West Ham since he joined the club from Burnley in 2022.

He has been on the fringes of the West Ham team this season, making just one appearance for a minute at the start of the season.

All his five Europa League appearances also came from the substitute’s bench and he has been linked with a move away from the club in January.

But it has been claimed that he is likely to stay put at West Ham until the end of the season.

The Hammers are yet to receive any concrete offers from any club for Cornet in the ongoing transfer window.

Everton were interested in him last summer but it seems they have moved on to other targets.

It remains to be seen whether any club make a move for Cornet before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
