Fulham are yet to table an offer for Rennes midfielder Nemanja Matic, despite the former Manchester United man being of interest.

Matic joined Rennes from Roma in the summer but the midfielder is keen to move on in the winter transfer window.

The veteran midfielder wants to leave Rennes for his children’s education as the French city does not have a branch of the international school his kids have studied in so far.

Talks are expected to take place between Rennes and Matic on Monday but he has already been linked with a return to England where Fulham are interested in him.

But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Rennes are yet to receive an offer from the west London club.

Marco Silva wants to add more experience to his squad and Matic turned out for Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League previously.

But for the moment, a bid has not gone in from Fulham in the direction of Rennes for the veteran midfielder.

Lyon are also interested in the player but Rennes have knocked back their first offer.
