Miguel Almiron would prefer to stay at Newcastle United beyond the January window despite interest from Saudi Arabia, according to the Daily Mail.
Almiron’s future at Newcastle has come under the scanner due to interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The Magpies have played down suggestions that they have a deal in place to sell him to Al-Shabab in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Al-Ahli, who signed Allan Saint-Maximin, last summer are also reportedly monitoring the Paraguayan winger’s future this month.
However, it has been claimed that the player is still not warming up to the idea of moving to Saudi Arabia in the ongoing window.
Almiron would prefer to stay on at Newcastle beyond the winter window than move to the Middle East.
For the moment, the offer from the Saudi clubs would also have to be improved to convince Newcastle to sell him.
The Magpies are not expecting the winger to leave at the moment despite all the speculation to the contrary.
