Leeds United are struggling to free up the wages needed to bring in reinforcements in the winter transfer window, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Whites are in the market for full-backs and could even look at bringing in an attacking midfielder and a winger.

Leeds have already moved on Luke Ayling, Djed Spence, Darko Gyabi and Helder Costa in the ongoing transfer window.

However, they are yet to bring in new faces and there are suggestions that they need to move on a few more players.

It has been claimed that Leeds are still trying and failing to make space on their wage bill by offloading a few more of their stars.

Leeds need the space on their wage bill to bring in new signings and strengthen Daniel Farke’s squad.

Charlie Cresswell and Joel Gelhardt are two players Leeds are expecting to move on before the window closes.

The duo are on decent wages at Leeds and the Whites would likely free up significant space if they go.
