Manchester United have declined the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Ekitike has not played since the opening day of the season and is firmly out of Luis Enrique’s plans for the Parisians.

PSG have been trying to offload the striker for several weeks but with just over 24 hours left in the window, the forward is still in the French capital.

Eintracht Frankfurt have been in talks to sign him but they do not want to exceed their financial parameters for a deal.

According to German outlet fussball.news, PSG also tried to offer the striker to one of the biggest Premier League clubs in Manchester United.

The Red Devils are light up front and were pondering signing a striker on loan earlier in the window.

However, Manchester United were quick to decline the chance to sign the Frenchman this winter.

Wolves have also been linked with an interest in him but he is unlikely to end up at Molineux by the time the window closes on Thursday night.

Eintracht Frankfurt remain optimistic that a deal will get agreed upon in line with their financial parameters on the final day of the window.
